Schwenkfelder Art Classes

The Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center in East Greenville, PA, has some great homeschool programs at very reasonable prices. Their museum educator, "Miss Rebecca" teaches the art studio classes. Cole and Ava have been taking them this year, and love them. They typically do a tour of a section of the museum, and then do a project based on what they saw and learned. One week they had to write a few favorite lines from a book or poem, illustrate them, and write them in German letters. Ava chose on of my favorite Shel Silverstein poems:

"Lazy lazy lazy Jane. She wants a drink of water so she waits and waits and waits and waits and waits for it to rain"

The library also offers German and Latin language classes for homeschoolers, I'm hoping to partake of those at some point. What a great resource in this little town of ours!
