Six O'Clock Scramble

I'm loving the Six O'Clock Scramble service. Every Wednesday I get an email with 7 healthy and easy dinner recipes. The menus list the nutritional information for each recipe, as well as a grocery list. Every recipe I've tried has been delicious, and even the kids have liked them. I signed up through a Mamasource deal, figured for $15/yr I could try it out. The best part is not having to think about what to cook for dinner.

Phonetic Lesson

Someone posted a facebook status last night that still has me completely baffled:

"We are grieving the loss of our beloved goat..."

A sentence I could never have created even in the depths of my twisted brain. Aside from the obvious oxymoronic issue that is blatant in this sentence, try saying it out loud. It's even more outrageous. Just by virtue of the way the word "goat" is pronounced proves it can never follow the word "beloved". I mean, really, the world beloved should never be used to describe any word beginning with a hard [g]. Isn't that a phonetic rule?

Tiny Dreams

I love this more than life itself. Stop motion animation turns me on in and of itself, but mini-stop motion animation?? That stars a little tiny girl flying on a bumblebee??? Shut your mouth.

It reminds me of the Alice In Wonderland game I used to play for hours on the little Commodore 64 that my brother Eric gave me.

Dan The Poet Man

So I was going to take a week off, but the public cry of outrage was so extreme I had to start posting again. And by "public cry of outrage" I mean the cry of guilt from deep within my soul. It wouldn't shut up until I posted again. I am an addict.

On our drive home from Boston, Nell introduced me to Dan The Poet Man. He's this guy who fancies himself a comedian/entertainer/poet, and as such makes You Tube videos of his routines. He rambles a bunch of nonsense and makes up ridiculous songs and dances. Basically he's just a retarded a-hole. But for some reason you can't stop watching.

Nell is especially obsessed with his knee movements.

Dan The Poet Man videos.

Lego My Light Saber

Speaking as someone who can barely build a tower with Legos, all I can think about is how much work went into this....

They're Just, Like, So Cute!

I just can't get enough of these girls on YouTube who review beauty products. They fascinate me. The way they talk, their choice of wording, their enthusiasm.

I'm feeling a parody coming on.....stay tuned.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

As your birthday gift to me, please read this Oatmeal.com grammar comic closely. This one is on apostrophes. If I see one more person say "Just posted some new pic's!" on their Facebook status I'm going to gut myself with a butter knife and roast my large intestine on a spit.

DON'T WRITE PIC'S!

If You Put An A In Definitely, You're Definitely An A-Hole

My brother Eric tweeted this yesterday, and I got a little weepy while reading it. I very rarely experience the feeling of jealousy, but something like this will bring on a twinge. This is absolute genius to me, and I wish I could be this smart and funny.

"Every time you spell weird "wierd", a dophin gets run over by a ski jet"

I'm getting this chart for each of my nieces and nephews for their birthdays.

It's Raining Bears, Hallelujah!

Wickedly cool video. Not because of the subject matter, I couldn't care less if polar bears become extinct, it's called evolution and survival of the fittest if you're an atheist and the sovereignty of God if you're a Christian, but because it's the coolest idea with the most amazing execution. Enjoy.
